My Haiku Attack Returns

3 more haiku poems

My haikus still stay
They don’t want to go away
So, what do they say?

As May progresses
Even Nature’s fine array
Can’t keep news away.

More shootings daily,
Border immigrants dying.
Sadly, no rhymes here.

Haikus sometimes hit me like a case of the hiccups that won’t go away. So I may as well polish and publish them.

Think of my haikus today as my metaphorical drinking nine swallows of water as a possible cure for haiku-hiccups.

Writing on whatever strikes my mood, from politics to humor (or a combination of the two), to spirituality, or whatever else shows up. Retired, not in retreat.
